IPL 5:THE CAPTAINS
We are into the 4th week of ipl and except DC all other teams have a great chance to go through to the playoffs,largely due to some good captainship and some not so good one from their counterparts.
Let me confess from the beginning who made Bhajji the captain,sorry boss u are worser than that munaf also and no suspension after two offences.Is that something to do with,they are MIs.And as u do being the captain in gully cricket he decides not to bowl to give others a chance...wow!
Another one who has dissapointed the most is Vettori,a novice 'll agree its easier to score 30 from two than to score 15 from the last....He was all in criticism handling the fifth bowler during the last ipl and also during the CL,but the management still elieves in him.i 'll bet for Kohli,has experience and currently MSD's deputy...
Sehwag's DD has not given a chance to prove his any decision wrong through their performances.while his decision to bowl himself and KP against PWI 'll remain debatable.
Two captains standing opposite are Sanga and MSD.one has been let down by his team ,while the other has some great sources and has taken some bold decisions....sameis the case of Gauti,but he may have to take some hard decisions in the near future...
Rahul has been more than a captain...coming into the with drinks during the time out shows it..and similarly his batsmen have delivered till date..but have to take some calls in his bowling dept..
Dada,has been the revolution this year...have been failing with bat till the last game,but the intensity he showed in the field was no lesser to his national duty days...he has made the PWI's the dark horse this year,'ll wait for the towering sixes he hit to the spinners :)
But above all the man who has stood out as a captain and mentor is Gilly....easily have the weakest team on paper but has beaten the more fancied mi and kkr and putting their bid forward for the playoffs wish gilly gets fit quickely and back leading.
Watever any crickrt pundit may say but it's the only game where captain has a real role to play and i personally beleive the top 2 teams of IPL 2 were made by the respective captains.........hope ganguly,gilly 'll take their team home:)
