THE LOKPAL AND POLITICS

           THE LOKPAL AND POLITICS

LOKPAL!!!!
It has been probably the most used word among indians and surely by the indian politicians for near about a year now. Thanks to Mr. Anna Hazare and his team. The whole aggitation, full fledged support from indian middle class and some oppotunistic politicians and social activists, has compelled the government to work it out. After some quick and un-called-for decisions by govt now it has again gone to the cold storage. And now hazare has gone on to say that another aggition and fast onto death is round the corner. With my apprehenson that there wont be as much support for anna as was before,i beleive the law is going to come in watever way it may be.If a political situation like now stays then we may see a lokpal much similar to the so called jan-lokpal.

From the point of view of UPA this may come out in the last session of UPA-2 and making it a poll agenda. And i see Rahul Gandhi being the law minister at that time. Now comes the opposition NDA who is also not pushing for it.Why then?may be the same thought of going into the 2014 elections with Lokpal agenda too or may be they dont want this law to be passed.Remember opoosition has better representstion in the upper house. The way govt has gone on to make a joint commite GOM-civil society for the law and how Rahul G has opponly given suggestions on the whole issue, going into the general elections without passing the law may be a huge setback for this hugely incumbent govt. The growing proximity wid SP and RJD,yet ooing TMC may just not be for the presidents election only.

With this whole suspense on president candidate from both the govt and opposition;it suggests that the whole matter of going for new allies(as Gadkari stated in BJP's national executive meet in Mumbai) may just not be for the President's election or the general elections, but for having the upper hand going into the campaighn with the issue of lokpal.

HOPE THE 1 DEGREE HAS PREVAILED ABOVE!!!!!!!
