Anna and Kejriwal

Beside the hiccup in the central govt also continued the same in the erstwhile team Anna, Anna and Kejriwal parting ways on the formation of a political alternative. Consultation with his team members lead Anna to change his mind on the topic and asked Kejriwal to disband his party formation idea or never use his name in it. With Kejriwal staying adamant on its formation, a rift in the relationship is evident.

Being a Padma Bibhushan, Anna was always a Maharastrian figure before the movement. As the volunteers associated with this from the beginning say, the whole process was choreographed by Kejriwal, who brought Anna to limelight thinking of his Gandhi like thought and moreover figure and stature. Till it caught the nation’s eyes, the whole movement was controlled by Kejriwal mainly. Kejriwal strategized and sensing the situation made Anna be specific in all his demands.

Kiran Bedi, another key member,   being pro-BJP; his stance against congress lead govt in Centre or in Hisar by polls got the support of the team.  This led Kejriwal be a bit ambitious and somehow got Anna ready for a political alternative after the last fast. The shocker came from Anna when he totally dismissed the party idea and asked Kejriwal to refrain or never use his name in his political venture. And even he shifted the epicenter of the movement from Delhi to Raleghan Siddhi. Anna’s only explanation to the all was, he will never enter politics as promised to nation by him. Now comes the question how apolitical he is!

Mahatma Gandhi never entered in electoral politics but in any view he was always a political leader.  Being apolitical thus is never a point for Anna too. The real question is what Anna’s strategy is?......
Anna seeing the whole movement losing the steam wants to get in other well-known social activists in to the fray and try again to catch nation’s expectation by showing a more united and difference-less team. Make the new team more transparent and get in more volunteers. Shifting from Delhi has been a cautious move to build a new, afresh team and may start his campaign again near the general elections.

Is there a coincidence in it at all? Anna’s may be planning and Kejriwal forming his own party. Wont Anna’s campaign, if not be pro-Kejriwal but will, always lead people to think apart from the existing system thus from any existing political party? Which people and media may think a blow to Kejriwal can be a big gain for him. On the other hand as it seems Kejriwal is gearing up to start his electoral appeal from the Delhi elections, it will be interesting to see whether his team can have the stem to be in a position to go into the general elections. A master strategist Kejriwal being well known of it may just field some candidates to sense the mood. As moves and counter moves will take Centre stage leading to 2014 elections same may go on between Anna and Kejriwal too.
